Are you a Data Consultant, Data Engineer, Data Scientist or an Analyst and interested in using a modern Big Data platform? In that case, the Cloudera Training Tapas Series are right for you. We promise you no “dead by powerpoint” moments but lively interaction and a Hands-On Workshops.
Anchormen and Cloudera invite you to join the free hands-on Workshop on June 7, in Amsterdam.
The speed, variety and volume of data is ever-growing. By integrating and unlocking information and making it accessible in a big data platform your organization can work more effective. Impala provides fast, interactive SQL queries directly on your Apache Hadoop data stored in HDFS, HBase, or the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). In addition to using the same unified storage platform, Impala also uses the same metadata, SQL syntax (Hive SQL),ODBC driver, and user interface (Impala query UI in Hue) as Apache Hive. This provides a familiar and unified platform for real-time or batch-oriented queries.
Anchormen kicks off by showing you what you can do with the data. Because we believe data is only valuable when you activate it. You will be shown different use cases that Anchormen has worked on and what value we brought to clients with their data.
After that, we will explore the practical side of Big Data through a hands-on workshop, in which you will familiarize yourself with Impala. Experts from Cloudera will be there to introduce you to and assist you with the tool. Advanced Impala topics, like tuning and performance best practices will be discussed. During the hands-on exercises we will be using the QuickStart VM and the afternoon will be concluded with the new Cloudera Altus Analytic DB.
Not only will the event be a good learning experience, it will also be a great networking and collaborative opportunity and most importantly a whole lot of fun.
