“I always like to get to know my colleagues better, so every now and then I sit down with one of them and ask some questions. So, let’s meet Margo!” – Eva
Hello, Anchormen readers! My name is Margarita Dubovik, or as most of my colleagues call me, Margo. I’ve been working as a Lead Consultant at Anchormen for about half a year already.
I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. My background is in Mathematics and I have a degree in Cybernetics. Professionally, I have around 14 years of Project Management experience. Although I worked while I was obtaining my degree, the first post-graduation job I had was at IBM, where I stayed for 4 years. Everything I learnt about classic Project Management was picked up from there. After IBM, I worked as an external PM on projects that were lasting anything from 6 months up to 1 year. I’ve always enjoyed creating things from scratch and being able to develop new projects frequently really fit my style.
I ended up at Anchormen after I had just finished a Big Data project with Liberty Global, here in Amsterdam. What made me choose Anchormen was that they looked different, in a very good way. You can truly feel the desire from everyone to build something valuable and unique. Plus, the coffee is great!
One of my current projects is data consultancy in relation to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR is the first European Union-level data protection regulation for individuals. We’ve prepared a series of informative materials about it. You can find the first one here.
In my free time, I enjoy the art of crafting. I have a workshop where I can sculpt and work with metals. I love working on the details and being completely focused for hours until I create something intricate!
