Meet Anchormen: Batuhan

“I always like to get to know my colleagues better, so every now and then I sit down with one of them and ask some questions. So, let’s meet Batuhan!” – Naiyara

Hello, everyone! My name is Batuhan Tüter and I am a Machine Learning Engineer at Anchormen. I recently joined the new Accelerator Traineeship and was given the opportunity to introduce myself.

I was born in Samsun, Turkey, in a family of doctors so, naturally, I decided to study Computer Science! I graduated from Bilkent University in 2017. While I was completing my studies, I did an internship in the Big Data team of a prestigious technology company. Working there gave me a taste of the data world I had only studied about. This spark triggered my long-term interest in the field of Big Data and Machine Learning and pushed me to apply for a joint Masters Program, called Erasmus Mundus Big Data Management & Analytics. During the following two years I traveled and studied in Brussels, Barcelona, and graduated in Berlin in 2019. Immediately after obtaining my Master’s degree, I moved to The Netherlands where I joined the Anchormen team, which is also technically my first full-time job.

If you ask me why I went for Anchormen and not somewhere else, I’d probably have to say the main reasons are the team and the level of expertise the men and women here display. I get to work with the latest technologies and solve meaningful organizational challenges as well as learn a lot about the fields of A.I. and Machine Learning. The work environment is very flexible and warm while the team is young and friendly. I think I’ll stay in Amsterdam for a while!

In my personal life, I spend most of my free time playing the guitar, which is another passion of mine. In addition to that, I do amateur photography and take nature and architecture photos wherever I go. If you’d like to check out my work, you can follow my Instagram profile. I’d appreciate the support!
